Spook-a-rama

My next one man show in New York, Spook-a-rama opens at Edelman Arts on Thursday 30th October 6-8pm and runs through til December 6th. Edelman Arts, 47 East 63rd Street, New York. Named in honour of the former Ghost Train in Coney Island it features paintings, drawings, sculpture and video. The spooky opening will also have a seance where the spirit of Hans Holbein will be invited to make a drawing. My Holbein Table has been specially created to acheive this. See you on Halloween!

Tales of Trust

"Tales of Trust" is an Album that is being released as a Solo Project by Pit Baumgartner from the band De Phazz. The songs, some of the titles and then the look of the Album were influenced by my series "Virgin Forest " . We are hoping to work together on an idea for an Audio book with visuals and sound and Pit will also be performing at my opening in New York in November 2008.

Drive Thru Gallery, Aschersleben and Venice Biennale

On the Friday 1st of June 2007 I opened a Project in Aschersleben, a town that lies two hours south-west of Berlin. The curator Dr.Sonja Beeck from the Bauhaus Museum, Dessau devised a Drive Thru Gallery. Five of my paintings were displayed on billboard sized structures as part of a rejuvenation project on the city circular road. These works had been specially chosen for the project and will be displayed til June 2008.The exhibition is entitled "Hitzefrei" which basically means "skipping school on a hot day.

The Project was also presented on the occasion of the Opening of the 52nd International Art Exhibition, The Venice Biennale, at the German Study Institute, Venice. Amongst the speakers were the Director of the Bauhaus museum Dr.Omar Akbar and Scenographer Detlef Weitz. The German Study Institute, S.Polo 2765/a, 30125 Venice. The talk took place Saturday 9th June 2007.
